Tracey O’Brien

Tracey is a Legal Executive in our Private Client department, and deals with all aspects of executry administration including investigating the estate, reporting it to HMRC for inheritance tax (IHT) purposes, obtaining the Grant of Confirmation, ingathering the estate, distributing it to the beneficiaries and working out legal rights claims. She also deals with intestate cases (where there is no will) and cases where there are international assets or where an English or international probate is required. She has a specialist Paralegal certificate in Wills, Trusts and Executries from CLT Scotland and a diploma from the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland (SOLAS). Prior to moving to Scotland, she administered deceased estates in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Outside work, Tracey is Secretary to the Edinburgh Branch of SOLAS and as the Minister’s wife she participates in a church and helps manage a guest house/Christian retreat centre. She also reads, knits and crochets.
