Accreditations & Awards

Our accreditations and awards showcase the full spectrum of our client focus, our culture of employee inclusion and professional development, as well as our progressive ethical approach to business and to the wellbeing of our people.

We're proud to hold multiple awards and accreditations, which all display the emphasis that we put on what we believe to be the most important element for any business, doing what we know is right.

This encapsulates everything that matters to us:

  • Our ethical business approach
  • Empowering our people to develop professionally and to create innovative problem solving methods for our clients
  • Encouraging staff across every department to pursue professional qualifications
  • Our inclusive working culture
  • Attracting and retaining Scotland's best legal talent
  • Looking after the wellbeing of all of our employees

Through this combination, we're able to provide exceptional service to our clients, while also ensuring that our colleagues are proud to be a part of our firm.

We've won many awards acknowledging our first-rate legal work and the way we do things. They have recognised the strength of our client service as well as our flexible learning and development plan. We run over 500 internal training courses each year to enhance our business skills, as well as facilitating and supporting professional development and empowering our people to continue to deliver outstanding legal advice to our clients.

In 2025, after her involvement in the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, and for her work on the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and the Scottish Covied-19 Inquiry, Partner Catriona Watt, co-leader of the firm's Inquiries Unit was named Lawyer of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards. She and Partner Sarah Phillips also picked up the 'Best Professional in Business' title at the 2025 Scottish Women Awards, celebrating the achievements and contributions of women across Scotland.

Our 2024 accolades include being recognised as Private Client Firm of the Year and Insurance Firm of the Year at the Legal 500 Scotland Awards.

Our accreditations cover our ongoing investment and commitment to make our firm a great place for our people to work and to ensure that we provide a first rate service to our clients. From providing a living wage to all of our staff and contractors, to ensuring our clients' information is as secure as it can be, we make an effort to ensure we're the firm of choice for our clients, our people and for the very best in emerging talent.

We are ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for various of our departments and individual lawyers. We have also been recognised by ePrivate Client as one of the top law firms for individuals in the UK for numerous years.
