Murray McCall

As our Managing Partner, Murray is responsible for all major day-to-day business and for shaping and implementing our strategy. Alongside fulfilling this senior role with both flair and authority, Murray looks after many of our largest clients, such as The Scottish Government, Crown Estate Scotland, the Scottish Prison Service, INEOS and City of Edinburgh Council.

As a specialist employment lawyer for many years, Murray continues to provide advice on workplace strategy and is a strong advocate of employer/employee relations. He has made it a core priority to establish Anderson Strathern as the ‘legal employer of choice’ in Scotland and it is his mission to ensure all our clients are looked after by the very best professionals.

Listening to clients and employees is an important part of Murray’s role and helps him identify the best path for improvement across the business. As a former winner of Managing Partner of the Year at the Herald Law Awards, he is determined to add to our already impressive array of legal and employer accreditations and is dedicated to encouraging each of our employees to achieve their professional best. It’s all about exploring innovative ways of working, embracing diversity and maintaining Anderson Strathern’s position as the definitive place for ambitious, talented people.

In the rare spare time that he has, Murray spends time with his family, is a movie buff and enjoys travelling. He also sings in a choir and indulges in a little karaoke on occasion.
