Ellen is a Partner in our Rural, Land and Business team and an accredited specialist in agricultural law, advising landowners, farmers and rural businesses across Scotland. She has particular expertise in land sales and acquisitions, agricultural partnerships and succession planning, as well as agricultural tenancies, crofting and renewable energy projects, acting for both landowners and developers.
Based in Orkney and originally from the North-East of Scotland, Ellen is ideally positioned to support clients across the islands and the north mainland. Her strong personal connection to farming gives her a genuine understanding of the day-to-day realities faced by rural clients.
She combines this practical insight with technical legal expertise to deliver clear, commercially focused advice tailored to each client's objectives.
