Solicitor - Construction - Dispute Resolution - Glasgow
We are looking to recruit a talented and motivated Solicitor to join our specialist Construction Dispute Resolution team, based in our Glasgow office.
About the Role
You will work closely with our highly respected Construction team, advising clients across private and public sectors. The role involves managing a varied caseload of construction disputes including adjudications, court actions (including those in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session), mediations, and arbitrations. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, complex matters with a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling contentious construction matters from instruction to resolution
- Advising on issues under SBCC, NEC, and other standard form contracts
- Representing clients in adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation
- Liaising with counsel and expert witnesses
- Supporting business development and client relationship management
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider Commercial Real Estate and Dispute Resolution teams
About You
- A qualified Scottish solicitor (NQ–3 years’ PQE)
- Experience in construction litigation or general commercial disputes with an interest in construction
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- A proactive approach with a focus on client service and commercial outcomes
- Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- A team player keen to contribute to a collaborative, forward-thinking practice
