Neil has wide ranging experience in property development, management and investment. He has sector expertise in healthcare and renewable energy projects as well as retail, and hotel and leisure developments. Neil is dual qualified in Scotland, and in England and Wales, which helps him to explain any Scots law differences.
His healthcare investment experience includes acquisitions, sales, development, finance and management work. Neil has acted on over £1 billion of transactional work and his clients include an institutional fund, as well as banks and developers.
Neil has regularly acted on infrastructure and renewable energy projects for onshore wind and solar. He has supported developers and funds. His other project experience includes real estate aspects of capital projects and PPP.
Neil has also been closely involved in a number of shopping centre acquisitions and financings, acting for investment purchasers and banks, and on retail development.
Beyond his professional schedule, Neil loves to get out into the hills. He has almost completed the Munros – nearly 300 of Scotland’s highest mountains – and has climbed Mont Blanc. In winter he’s a keen skier, and has also represented Scotland in a world chess event in Rhodes in 2019.
