Karen is a rural property specialist advising on the acquisition and disposal of country houses, estates, farms, crofts and forestry assets. She supports private landowners, estates and institutional clients on high-value and strategically significant rural transactions.

Her practice spans agricultural and crofting law, estate conveyancing and secured lending, alongside renewable energy and natural resource projects. Karen regularly advises on wind, hydro and solar developments, as well as sporting leases and servitudes for access and utilities, ensuring landowners maximise value while managing risk.

Karen acts for a number of major estate clients, including Crown Estate Scotland, and has experience advising on applications to the Scottish Land Court. She combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of rural business drivers to deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
