Solicitor - Commercial Real Estate - Glasgow
We seek a Solicitor ideally 0-2 years PQE, to join our Commercial Real Estate Department in the Glasgow office.
The role
Anderson Strathern is well known for its commercial property practice. We provide mainstream advice to a wide range of clients including developers, retailers, hotel and leisure operators, institutional investors, utilities, energy companies, universities and educational providers, charities and engage in cross-border work and corporate support work.
You will be responsible for
- Involvement in residential portfolio acquisition and disposal transactions for a variety of clients including investors, developers and other commercial clients
- A varied caseload of property work which includes residential investment purchases, sales and refinancing transactions
- Providing high quality client service alongside high quality legal advice which reflects the commercial needs of our clients
- Assisting in a variety of complex high value residential investment portfolio deals
- Drafting and preparing security documentation for refinance and acquisition transactions
- Assisting other members of the team to expand your knowledge base
- Providing support to corporate colleagues on the property due diligence requirements of corporate transactions.
What you will need to succeed
- Qualified solicitor with up to 2 years PQE committed to a career in commercial property law
- Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and self-confident
- Well organised, methodical and able to prioritise workload
- Deliver high quality advice
- Develop your client relationship and client care skills
- Have an understanding of financial issues relevant to your role
- Manage time effectively to maximise the profitability of your work and develop your organisation and delegation skills
- Identify and manage risk effectively in your work
