IT Service Desk Team Leader - Edinburgh
We are looking for an IT Service Desk Team Leader to join our Edinburgh based IT department. This is a key role for a professional who can lead a small team, ensure high-quality support delivery, and drive continual improvement across our IT service.
As the Service Desk Team Leader, you will oversee day-to-day service operations, act as an escalation point for complex issues. You will work closely with all members of the IT Department to maintain service standards, improve processes, and support the wider technology strategy.
Although the role is primarily based in Edinburgh, occasional travel to our other sites may be required.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, support, and mentor the IT Service Desk team.
- Manage ticket queues and ensure timely, high-quality resolutions.
- Handle escalations and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Improve documentation, processes, and knowledge sharing.
- Work with the wider IT team on upgrades, projects, and service improvements.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years in IT Support/Service Desk roles, ideally with leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and endpoint hardware.
- Professional Services experience (Legal/Financial) preferred but not essential.
- Confident communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling priorities.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude; driving licence desirable but not essential.
