Iain Thomson

Iain is a senior solicitor in the private client department in our Haddington office. He advises clients on various aspects of private client work including wills, powers of attorney and executry administration.

Iain qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and is also a notary public. For ten years he specialised in litigation at another Edinburgh firm before joining Anderson Strathern’s private client department in 2023. Throughout his career Iain has always been driven by his desire to help individuals and families and to understand their needs and objectives.

Outside of the office, Iain is interested in history, likes to keep fit through running and enjoys (for the most part) supporting Dundee United.
