Financial Planner & Analysis Analyst

We are seeking a commercially focused FP&A professional to support financial analysis and decision-making across the firm. This role will play a key part in developing and delivering robust financial analysis and modelling to support client, team and departmental profitability assessments.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partners, Finance Director and the wider Finance team, the successful candidate will assist in producing accurate client profitability calculations, scenario analysis and financial modelling to inform strategic decisions and assist with performance analysis.

The role will involve
- Supporting the Finance team in delivering detailed client profitability analysis, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
- Assisting in building and maintaining robust profitability models for individual departments and teams across the firm to support performance evaluation.
- Developing and enhancing financial models to support pricing decisions, budgeting processes, and forecasting.
- Working with both the Finance and IT teams to enhance financial systems, reporting infrastructure and transformation of reporting structures to Power BI tools.
- Interrogating financial information to generate meaningful insights on client profitability, team structures and to assist with strategic decision making.
- Translating complex financial analysis into clear, reader-friendly insights and recommendations for Partners and senior stakeholders.
- Contributing and identifying areas for continuous improvement of reporting processes and profitability analysis.
As a Financial Planner & Analyst , you will be expected to
- Provide support to the finance business partners in delivering accurate and timely financial insights.
- Use and improve on existing financial models
- Support innovation and continuous process improvement
- Confidently work with large and complex data sets
- Assist with reporting enhancement projects
About you
- Experience in an FP&A, management accounting, or financial analysis role (professional services, partnership or law firm experience advantageous).
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work with large data sets and confidently interpret financial data.
- Ability to present complex information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools (experience building dashboards and visual reporting tools within Power BI is advantageous).
- Proactive, collaborative and a confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
