Sophie Riise

Sophie is a Solicitor in our Residential Conveyancing team in Edinburgh. Throughout her studies and training she held an interest in not just understanding the law but also its application. Growing up in Shetland Islands and latterly living in Edinburgh has provided her with a well-grounded awareness of the social, economic and environmental factors affecting urban and rural areas which in turn, has inspired her interest for all areas of property law.

Since qualifying in 2019, Sophie has helped a wide range of clients navigate through the legal process of all aspects of residential conveyancing. She provides advice on the sale and purchase of property, transfers of title, new build purchases, government scheme purchases (LIFT, First Home Fund and Help to Buy), executry sales and remortgages.

Sophie also has a keen interest in taking part in charity events with a focus on giving back to the community. She recently took part in a charity skydive to raise funds for the Scottish Association for Mental Health.
