Loraine Strachan

Loraine is a senior leader in strategic transformation, finance, and operations, with experience spanning commercial sectors, consulting, and regulated professions. She is our Chief Operating Officer, having served as our Finance Director and Chief Technology Officer until March 2026.

With a strong track record of driving continuous improvement across business operations teams, Loraine focuses on unlocking the full potential of organisations and enabling the delivery of long-term objectives and growth strategies. She is a collaborative partner to senior leadership teams and Boards, known for cutting through complexity and translating strategic ambition into clear, actionable plans that deliver measurable results for both people and clients.

Her previous roles include Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd, Executive Director of Finance and Operations at the Law Society of Scotland, and leadership of consulting and interim assignments across the public, private, and education sectors. Prior to relocating to Edinburgh, she was Senior Vice President at Menzies Aviation in South Africa, where she was responsible for managing all aspects of the business across fourteen airports in the Africa and the Middle East. Loraine is currently also a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Lothian Buses.
