Iain is an experienced energy real estate lawyer having spent over 16 years exclusively within the renewables sector, acting for a variety of developers, landowners and funders across a diverse range of technologies, including wind (onshore and offshore), hydro, biomass, solar and battery energy storage.
He has extensive experience of advising clients on all stages of renewable energy generation projects through from initial site selection and diligence, land acquisition, construction, operation and re powering. He has advised on the three largest onshore wind farms, and the largest offshore wind farm in Scotland.
In his spare time, he also enjoys harnessing the elements, being a keen sailor and windsurfer and relishes the challenge of competing in multi-discipline endurance events combining his passion for sailing and mountaineering.
