David works in our Corporate Data and Technology team advising public, private and voluntary sector clients on data protection law. He covers the full range of issues including data subject rights, data protection by design and default, law enforcement processing, direct marketing and international transfers.

David spent over ten years working in various policy roles for the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), including leading engagement with the Scottish law enforcement community as well as developing some of its work on international data transfers post-Brexit. He brings a unique insight into the regulator which makes him particularly valuable to clients who are engaging with the ICO.
