Alasdair Gillies

Alasdair has over 35 years’ experience in a wide variety of private client legal services and property work and, in the past, has also been involved in many other areas of practice including commercial property, family law and dispute resolution.  He joined Anderson Strathern on the merger with Glasgow law firm Jeffrey Aitken in April 2016 where he was previously a partner and had established long standing relationships with clients from many different walks of life and for whom he continues to act. He now focuses primarily on private client and residential property matters.

Alasdair is dedicated to continuing the focused personal service and to the high standards of client care which he has provided to his clients over the years. His clients include in many cases several generations of the same families who regularly seek his help and advice in family legal matters including Wills, Powers of Attorney, executry estates and house purchase and sale.

Away from the office Alasdair enjoys regular family holidays hillwalking in the Highlands and at home is an avid follower of football spending many hours at weekends watching his son play youth football and getting lost trying to find pitches in previously unexplored parts of Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.
