Ruth is a partner in our commercial property team, specialising in residential development. She brings a great deal of experience to this specialist sector and has a deep understanding of the issues faced by housebuilders. A major facet of her work is the negotiation of conditional contracts for the acquisition of development land to be used for both house building and mixed use. Working on site assembly, joint ventures and option contracts, Ruth focuses on getting the deal done and achieving the best for her clients. After acquisition, she readies sites for sale and manages a team of paralegals dealing with onward plot sales.
Ruth acts for a number of our key clients in this broad expert capacity, including Walker Group, CALA and S1 Developments. She sits on the Homes for Scotland Customer Relations Task Group and on their legal sub-committee.
