Gillian is a key partner within our Commercial Litigation team in Glasgow, advising on complex, high-value disputes across a broad commercial spectrum. Leading a large team of litigators, her practice spans contractual and delictual claims, professional negligence, insolvency litigation, statutory appeals, interdicts, defamation, restrictive covenants and data protection. She represents commercial businesses, insolvency practitioners, directors, creditors, individuals, government bodies and educational institutions. Gillian also leads the firm’s Debt Recovery team.
With a strong focus on contentious insolvency, Gillian regularly acts in both personal and corporate insolvencies, advising insolvency practitioners as well as pursuing and defending claims arising post-insolvency. Known for her strategic, solutions-driven approach, she combines technical strength with clear, commercial advice to achieve decisive outcomes for her clients.
Having completed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board courses in both personal and corporate insolvency, Gillian continues to develop and lead this practice area in the west of Scotland alongside the general commercial practice.
