James Halley

James is a solicitor in the Dispute Resolution department in our Edinburgh office. He acts for public sector clients in a wide range of court actions across Scotland.

James trained with a busy high street firm where he was involved in a number of appeals before the Immigration Appeal Tribunal. Since qualifying he has acted in numerous contract and property disputes, where he has developed significant litigation experience at all types of procedural hearings, opposed motion hearings, and proofs.

Outside of work James is a keen baker and enjoys paddleboarding and walks with his fiancée, so long as they end with ice-cream!
