Based in our rural land and business team, Stuart’s work encompasses general rural property management work, with a particular focus on the renewable sector, where he acts for both land owners and developers.
He is experienced in all aspects of title work, including complex site assemblies and investigations, ranging from land and estates to quarries, ports, pipelines and woodlands. Stuart acts for Crown Estate Scotland in foreshore and seabed transactions, and has extensive experience of voluntary registration transactions, working closely with both agents and Registers of Scotland on these.
His prior experience includes acting for a range of funders and borrowers in various lending, reorganisation and refinancing transactions, together with purchase and sale transactions and general legal property portfolio work for a range of companies.
Away from the office, Stuart enjoys salmon fishing, running and is currently climbing all the Munros. He has travelled extensively in Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
