Anderson Strathern’s Private Client team has been named Private Client Team of the Year at the 2026 Scottish Legal Awards.
The award recognises the team’s outstanding performance over the past year, including strong financial growth, exceptional client service, investment in people, and a continued focus on innovation in the delivery of private client legal services.
The Scottish Legal Awards, now in its 23rd year, celebrates excellence, innovation, leadership and achievement. The 2026 ceremony brought together more than 500 guests from across the profession in a fantastic celebration of those at the forefront of Scotland’s legal sector.
Over the last 12 months, Anderson Strathern’s Private Client team has continued to build on sustained growth, advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on complex wealth, succession, trusts, tax and estate planning matters.
The department achieved revenue of £7.3m in FY 2025/26, surpassing budget by almost 20% and exceeding the prior year by more than £1m. Since 2018, revenue has increased by £3.3m, representing growth of 84%.
Recent highlights include advising on landmark reviews and restructures of complex family wealth structures, including matters involving entities valued at more than £1bn.
The team has also invested significantly in client experience, including the launch of a dedicated client service team to provide a responsive and seamless first point of contact.
Innovation has always been central to the team’s approach. Recent developments include harnessing tech to improve compliance, information gathering and client support, all while preserving the personal service which is paramount to private client work.
The department has also strengthened through strategic hires, senior promotions and continued recruitment. Since April 2025, seven new roles have been created within the team, which is now one of the firm’s largest departments.
