Robbie is Head of the firm’s Medical Negligence team and a Partner with over 15 years’ experience specialising in medical negligence and personal injury law. Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist since 2016, he also sits on the Society’s accreditation panel, assessing applications for other solicitors.
Robbie advises clients on all types of medical incidents and accidents, including birth injuries, misdiagnoses and failures to treat, supporting individuals and families through complex and often catastrophic outcomes to their medical care. He also handles broader personal injury matters such as workplace and road traffic accidents.
A recognised thought leader in the field, Robbie contributes to the development of future legal frameworks. He serves on sub-groups of the Scottish Civil Justice Council Personal Injury Committee, helping design a Compulsory Pre-Action Protocol for medical negligence and update Court Rules for catastrophic injury claims. He has tutored at Edinburgh University and presented seminars for the Law Society of Scotland and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh on recent developments in medical negligence law.
