NQ Solicitor - Commercial Real Estate

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Solicitor within our Commercial Real Estate department, based in our Edinburgh office.

The team’s expertise extends itself to investment, development and regeneration schemes. The work involves advising on all aspects of commercial property work.

The role will involve

  • deal with leasing work acting for both landlords and tenants including energy sector, day to day management of large office premises, agreements for leases for new build premises and assignations and sub-letting
  • acting for clients on the provision of day-to-day management issues arising on their property portfolio
  • provide property support for corporate acquisitions and tenders
  • assisting in commercial purchase and sale transactions including portfolio transactions and cross-border transactions
  • acting in land acquisition transactions for a variety of residential developers and the subsequent set up of sites for sales
  • acting for clients in the education sector in relation to property matters
  • assisting in advising on land tax issues and developing the firm’s offering in this area
  • assisting on renewable energy projects and ancillary documents
  • assisting the English team on England and Wales transactions, in particular in relation to redevelopment, landlord and tenant work and general commercial property matters.

Team Expertise

This role will be working closely with Partner Deborah Lovell who has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial property.
