Marketing Manager

This is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover role for a Marketing Manager to join Anderson Strathern’s Marketing & BD team.

The Marketing and Business Development team delivers strategic marketing campaigns and targeted BD activities across the business and this role is vital in supporting the delivery of day to day marketing and events.

What you’ll be responsible for

Throughout the year-long contract, your role will cover:

  • Management of all PR activities and liaison with the external PR agency.
  • Managing the suite of client newsletters.
  • Advising on application of the brand in marketing materials as well as ensuring all comms are consistent and using relevant brand photography.
  • Delivering training – LinkedIn and tone of voice/writing for online audiences.
  • Overseeing the work of our SEO agency in relation to the ongoing development of the website from a user experience and SEO point of view.
  • Designing and delivering campaigns arising from high growth teams.
  • Research, information gathering and writing of award entries.
  • Management of two Marketing Execs. including overseeing the production of a social media calendar and activity, reviewing posts, and design work.
  • Overseeing and advising execs on event strategy, roll-out and logistics.
  • Working closely with senior marketing team to ensure that team marketing & BD strategies are cohesive.
  • Ensuring that the legal directory process is made clear to teams and coordinated efficiently by designated Marketing Exec.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Very strong organisational skills and a good attention to detail.
  • Confidence to challenge and contribute constructively to meetings of people at all levels.
  • A passion for marketing and the ability to add value to the day to day delivery of marketing.
  • The natural ability to build strong positive relationships.
  • Ability to deliver on agreed targets and manage associated expenditure/financial budgets.
  • Ability to Identify and manage ad hoc projects.

Skills required

  • At least five years experience in a marketing role in professional services environment.
  • Previous managerial/supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Experience of Photoshop, Canva, WordPress and Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing skills and a great grasp of English grammar.
  • The ability to be highly organised, creative and proactive.
  • A team player with the ability to understand and respond to other roles within the team.
