Alan Simpson

Alan is a Consultant specialising in renewable energy. His experience spans most of the technologies in the sector.

With over fifteen years in the industry, Alan has worked for a wide range of developers, landowners, and community energy groups. His involvement has led to recognition in Legal 500 and Chambers UK both as a Leading Individual and Notable Practitioner.

Alan has also had a long involvement in the Mining and Minerals sector initially with the coal industry both before and throughout the privatisation of British Coal and also post-privatisation with some of the successor organisations.

Alan has strong business links internationally, primarily with China and Germany, which happily coincides with his love of travel.

On a personal level Alan has many passions one of which is running. He races at any distance up to marathon and on any terrain – in fact the longer, the muddier and the hillier the better!
