Commercial soft wood forests have shorter growth periods and are commonly plantations of spruce trees. The trees are grown to be harvested and used away from the forest area. |

Amenity forests are more traditional and more likely to involve hardwood planting or natural regeneration. They are grown long term and are often designed to form environments for leisure pursuits or to benefit wildlife.
There are grants available for forestry projects and in particular, for amenity forestry. We act for both commercial and amenity foresters and can advise on all aspects of purchase/sale/lease of forestry land and matters incidental to that.
