Wills
Making a will is not simply a means of setting out your wishes for the passing on of property. A will is an essential and beneficial tool in your family wealth management strategy. It is a unique succession planning device that can maximise your family wealth by minimising the effects of the tax system on future generations.
If the unthinkable were to happen tomorrow, are you satisfied that your accumulated wealth, property and assets will be appropriately dealt with? Do your spouse and other close family have adequate financial security? What financial provision is to be made for your children and how are they to be looked after? What would happen to your business?
Your will can dictate the answers to all these questions and many more. It is important to consult an experienced advisor and make sure you are entirely satisfied that your family will be looked after in your absence. We advise a great many clients on these issues and can offer specialist help with issues relating to:
  • Second marriages and international marriages

  • Asset protection structures for certain types of property or with young family members in mind

  • Forced heir-ship rules of succession

  • Inheritance tax mitigation

  • Administration of property following a death
