Judicial Review
The Court of Session has a general power to ensure that the decisions of tribunals, as well as the acts of public bodies and certain other bodies, conform to the law.
The Scottish courts have seen a steady increasing in judicial review petitions in recent years. Our solicitors have been involved in a large number of these, with experience of acting for petitioners and respondents.

We have advised public bodies on steps they can take to ensure that their procedures and processes are judicial review-proof.

Our Human Rights Team has been involved in advising on many significant judicial review and human rights issues.
