Human Rights
Human rights issues can permeate many areas of daily life. The increase in rights litigation, an increase in awareness by public bodies (and private bodies who may exercise public functions) of their duties in relation to the Human Rights Act 1998 and the creation of the Scottish Commission for Human Rights are all testament to the development of a growing human rights culture in Scotland.
When it comes to human rights, Anderson Strathern can provide tailored advice to meet the needs of clients in a dynamic and diverse legal environment. It is part of our role to ensure that our clients' human rights are upheld and also that clients do not inadvertently infringe the human rights of others.

Our Human Rights Team is rated in the top tier amongst law firms in Scotland for its expertise in human rights by Chambers legal directory. The diverse legal specialisms at play in the field of human rights law has resulted in us structuring our Human Rights Team in such a way that it comprises a cross-departmental selection of relevant solicitors from across the firm. A number of our team have specialist qualifications in human rights and years of practical experience of human rights litigation.
