Human rights issues can permeate many areas of daily life. The increase in rights litigation, an increase in awareness by public bodies (and private bodies who may exercise public functions) of their duties in relation to the Human Rights Act 1998 and the creation of the Scottish Commission for Human Rights are all testament to the development of a growing human rights culture in Scotland. |
