Sub-Contractors
Sub-contractors are often at the bottom of the food chain. Everyone is trying to pass the risk down to you. We provide advice on Bonds, Contracts, Collateral Warranties, Facility Letters, Joint Ventures, Guarantees, Insurance, Novations, Procurement, Project Finance, Project Management , Project Team contracts, Risk Management, Step in Rights, and Warranties.
Signing contracts with main contractors can be a daunting process, especially where complex builds are involved. Contractors work to very specific demands and will subject you to strict terms in contracts that may put excessive risk on your shoulders. Your risks are potentially higher than main contractors as they aim to pass their risks on to you.
Our role is in making sure that the risks you take on are the sort that you can manage. Where collateral warranties are required we will make sure you are not over-exposed and help you through the pain. We can draft contract conditions to ensure your suppliers and labour only contractors keep pace with the project.

We can advise you on contractual matters to ensure your part of the project is protected. If you do find yourself in a difficult situation, we have all the expertise and experience to find the right solution. Problems do happen. We can help you find a commercial solution by deploying the best arguments for you.

If no other avenue is open we will pursue or defend your rights through Dispute Resolution, Adjudication, Arbitration, Court action, Litigation, Negotiation or Mediation. We can assist your Cash-flow by helping you get paid.

The sooner you speak to us, the more help we can be. Starting with a blank sheet gives us more scope, keeps costs down and improves your negotiating position. Getting it right first time is cheaper and quicker than dealing with a problem. Involve us from the beginning.
