Development, Joint Venture Agreements, Property Vehicles
Anderson Strathern is proud to have been engaged in some of the major Scottish development projects in recent times. These include the £60m Crown Estate development of Princes Exchange in Edinburgh and the £36m funding of the Buchanan House Railtrack Scotland HQ re-development in Glasgow.
These involve all the disciplines of property development from site assembly through planning and construction law to occupational letting and meeting the criteria of the institutional investor.
Special purpose vehicles whether in the form of Joint Venture Agreements, Limited Partnership Agreements or Tailored Investment Vehicles are now frequently considered in the course of major property projects. We have assisted clients with all aspects of these for the private or the institutional investor have a specialist in-house tax team.

We work with our colleagues in Corporate and Tax to create special purpose vehicles. The increased use of such vehicles whether for tax reasons or for syndication purposes is a trend of the current property investment market. Our property skills and understanding of the requirements of such vehicles enable us to work with many different clients on different types of vehicle.
