Our highly skilled, experienced and award winning Commercial Real Estate team carries out transactions in all sectors of the market including retail, office, leisure and industrial. Our team comprises professionals with all the expertise and experience necessary to achieve all your legal objectives.
We have 3 partners who are accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as specialists in commercial leasing and one associate who is signet accredited in commercial property.
We are regularly involved in the purchase and sale of owner/occupied properties, investment properties, commercial leasing, development and funding. We also work on public sector projects, property aspects of corporate transactions and licensing work.
Our clients include investors, banks, national retailers, manufacturing and industrial processors, service industries, owner-managed businesses and emerging companies.
We work closely with colleagues in other parts of our business, external organisations and other advisers, where matters and transactions involve property as well as other disciplines. At all times our focus is solely the interest of our client.
As a member of the Association of European Lawyers, we also have access to specialist legal advice in all European jurisdictions, which is valuable for cross-border work.
We were awarded the title of 'Commercial Property Team of the Year' at the 2008 Scottish Legal Awards. One of our partners, Ken Gerber, has recently written the textbook 'Commercial Leases in Scotland : A Practitioners Guide'.
