Karyn is a Partner in Construction & Projects, dealing with construction and commercial work. She is legal advisor to the National Specialist Contractors Council and their representative on the Scottish Building Contractors Committee.

Karyn is New York bar qualified, an accredited mediator, Notary Public, Writer to the Signet and accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in construction law.

Karyn's recent experience includes:

- acting on behalf of Skanska in a framework agreement for work with Scottish Prisons;
- acting on behalf of a major landowner with regard to major infrastructure and housing development, advising on procurement;
- advising Napier University in a flagship project for the construction of a new business school;
- advising Bank of Scotland on construction issues for funding residential developments in excess of £40m;
- acting for a local authority over a procurement of a new £13m leisure complex and swimming pool;
- advising an international construction group over 3 separate schools' multi-million pound PFI bids;
- advising the Educational Institute on a £10m greenfield site development
- acting for National Trust for Scotland in respect of a new £7m facility at Culloden Moor.
