Alison is a solicitor in the firm's Parliamentary and Public Law Unit. She is responsible for advising clients on all aspects of parliamentary procedure including both public and private legislation processes. Alison monitors legislative developments at Holyrood, Westminster and Brussels and advises clients on the impact of legislative changes and future policy direction. She has particular experience of the Private Bill procedure at the Scottish Parliament having been involved in a number of large transport infrastructure projects.

On Public Law matters, Alison advises public authorities on freedom of information, data protection and public sector regulation. She also advises on matters of statutory interpretation.

Alison has a keen interest in European Law having studied in France and worked for the Law Societies in Brussels. She is currently undertaking an LLM in Human Rights Law at the University of Strathclyde.
