Robert is Head of Dispute Resolution with over 25 years experience, specialising in commercial litigation, health & safety, health service law, liability insurance litigation and commercial mediation. He is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate.
He is an Accredited Commercial Disputes Mediator. He has a judicial appointment as a part-time Sheriff (covering all Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland) and is a part-time Chairman of the Appeal Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Robert is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
Robert regularly leads seminars/workshops on all aspects of health and safety, commercial dispute resolution, court procedure and practice. He has extensive experience in pursuing and defending high value claims. He has handled the defence of a number of high profile personal injury claims and is regularly instructed in significant Health & Safety Prosecutions on behalf of a number of insurers.
