Colin is a Partner in Private Client Services specialising in tax matters, tax planning for landowners, owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals and trusts, including those overseas.

His clients include some of Scotland's wealthiest families, including individuals outside the United Kingdom. Increasingly he provides advice on a referral basis to solicitors and accountants across Scotland.

Colin's work includes advising on asset protection, succession and estate planning, capital gains tax mitigation, all aspects of the formation, administration and termination of trusts, charities, national heritage property, and family wealth management strategies and their implementation.

Colin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners and the Tax Law Committee of the Law Society of Scotland. He is also a regular conference speaker on tax subjects.
