Jim is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in agricultural law.
Jim is a Partner in Land Resources dealing in all aspects of agricultural and rural law, covering business structures, purchases, sales and leasing, forestry, salmon fisheries and sportings, land use and management including diversification, development and minerals. He also advises on trust and tax planning.
He provides advice on environmental compliance for a broad range of major clients. He is co-founder of a cross-border Environmental Group, which meets quarterly in London to exchange information and discuss developments in environmental law.
Jim is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and Treasurer of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association (UKELA).
