Anderson Strathern has been instructed to act in one of the largest renewable energy developments in the UK.

Planning permission for the 23 turbine extension at the Blacklaw Windfarm near Shotts was approved in late March by Energy Minister Jim Mather MSP. This means that the Windfarm will soon be able to generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of up to 110,000 homes.

Anderson Strathern will be advising the clients not only in relation to this extension: they will also be working closely with them in respect of the next planned phase
for an additional 10 turbines which will take the total number of turbines at Blacklaw to over 80.

Gail Clarke, Senior Associate and a member of the firm’s Renewable Energy Team said:

This is absolutely great news for our clients and we are delighted to be advising them in respect of this extension.
Being involved in such a major renewable energy project such as Blacklaw emphasises Anderson Strathern’s continuing commitment
to providing top level business and strategic advice to clients across the energy sector
”.
