Fraser Geddes
Fraser is a partner in our Dispute Resolution department.
He has been involved in all aspects of dispute resolution since 1992 and joined us in December 2010 from Fyfe Ireland where he was also a partner. Before that he also spent more than eight years at MacRoberts.
Fraser acts for a range of clients, from large PLCs to private individuals. He also undertakes a considerable volume of specialist agency work for other solicitors. He advises on all types of commercial disputes, all types of property dispute, insolvency, regulatory issues and professional negligence.
Fraser is an experienced litigator and has wide experience of litigation, in both the Court of Session and the Sheriff Court, arbitration and other methods of dispute resolution including a number of mediations. His experience also encompasses a number of cross border and international litigations. Fraser is a member of the Property Litigation Association. He is also the clerk to the NHS tribunal in Scotland and a legal adviser to the General Dental Council.
Fraser regularly speaks to clients at industry seminars, lunches and at conferences on issues relating to commercial and property disputes.
Fraser's recent experience includes:
- acted in multi-million pound share purchase and warranty disputes,
- acted in multi-million pound professional negligence claim,
- acted in significant shareholder disputes within deadlocked company,
- acted in numerous lands tribunal applications relating to discharge & variation of title conditions,
- acted in numerous contentious landlord and tenant disputes including Kodak Processing Companies Ltd v Shoredale Ltd; William Collins & Sons Ltd v CGU Insurance PLC; and Superdrug Stores PLC -v- Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
